Udaipur Visit

Last november we went to Udaipur …rajasthan for a vacation. Its a lovely small town surrounded by lakes. We stayed at one of the beautiful resort near pichola lake. Udaipur is all white…you can see only white buildings and art in and around. Small galis or lanes with old mud huts and houses and lot of temples. Life is really cool and lazy there. You can see sweet shops and various small food outlets in line…serving hot kachoris, samosa, halwa in line. we went to vintage car collection and we were amazed to see 18th century royal cars and rikshaws. Its a must visit place. We also visitied to Nath Dware a holy place of Shri Krishna. You should be careful with your purse and belongings here. Though its a holy place..people are not holy enough. Its all very commercialized..thats why i didnt like it much here. While coming back from Nathdware we went to Devigarh palace for lunch. Its a 7 star hotel made out of old kings palace. Its humungous and surrounded be alavari hills…beautiful ..and huge..luxurious. Enjoyed some rajasthani meal here…was looking for one for a long time. In Udaipur lot of foreign tourist comes and stays here for months…hence you will find lot of continental food items here. Authentic Rajasthani food is hard to find. Atleast we couldnt find. But the view from hotel where we stayed was priestine…this hotel is on the bank of lake and you can see the ghats and fort from here. wish i can post some pics out here…will try. It was the most memorable trip i ever had.

We belong to the First TV generation !

I am talking about the period when we were kids and we used to wait for sunday’s to watch doordarshan. remember that star trek serial early in the morning on tv. “tv was doordarshan”. and i can never forget signature tune of doordarshan.

Today we have trillions of channels and tv in every room of the house…but do we really enjoy watching tv today…its full of reality shows and stupid saas bahu sagas. News is of no use.
Good old days..isnt it ?? !!

AB’s Blog at bigadda

From past few days i was going through Amitabh Bachchan’s blog at big adda. His blogs are really interesting and takes you into a different world for sometime.

Sometime back he wrote about his association with Hrishikesh Mukherji and i its amazing to read about his life and how he started his career in Hindi Film Industry.

He is one of the amazing actor or STAR in true sense. Other actors copies him or in better words gets inspired by him

But not only actors, i think ordinary people like us also gets lots of inspiration from him and his blogs….you must visit his blogs and you will know it.

But my inspiration of writing comes from Aamir Khan’s blog site. He is also good…but no one like AB.
